Licensing

Paper Radio reads arXiv papers and publishes a generated layer on top of them: page summaries, episode scripts, spoken audio, transcripts, and the daily edition. The papers themselves belong to arXiv and their authors; that generated layer is ours to license.

Reading the site, listening to episodes, and being indexed by a search engine are free. That is what the site is for, and the sitemap and feeds exist to make it easy.

Using the corpus to train a model, to create search summaries at scale, or to bulk-collect it for either, needs an agreement with us. Ask at radio@montaan.com, or start at the licensing contact on this site; we answer within 30 days.

The machine-readable terms are RSL 1.0 at /license.xml, and every page carries the text-and-data-mining reservation (tdm-reservation: 1) that makes the same point where a crawler reads it.
